Snowman Falls Had a Very Ambitious Summer

New Arrivals is where the latest news from Snowman Falls lands first. This round covers the warm months, and the residents did not let the forecast change a single plan. They went to the beach. They booked the spa. They ordered the spiciest thing on the menu. Everyone involved considers it a success.

Out and about

Midsummer Meltdown finds a local on water skis, drink raised high in one twig hand, his bucket already airborne and his carrot somewhere back in the wake. Melting in Paradise puts two neighbors on a yellow banana boat with a dolphin keeping pace. Meltdown Mode shows a resident floating on a pink flamingo, right beside an actual flamingo, who has questions. Safety Device follows a brave local down a water slide in an orange ring. The ring was his idea. In Shotgun, two friends ride a golf cart through the rain, one of them leaving a little more of himself on the path with every hole, and in A Little Gusty a resident follows his kite with real commitment, one piece at a time. Stay Dry tries a different approach entirely: an umbrella, held firmly, under a running outdoor shower.

Rest and recovery

The spa was fully booked. Self Care is a bubble bath with a towel wrapped high, cucumber slices in place and a rubber duck standing by. Worth Every Penny sits in a wooden sauna under a sign that reads I paid for 30 minutes, and he intends to use every one of them. Find Your Center holds a headstand on a yoga mat, form excellent, carrot touching the floor. Comfortable Enough settles into a camp chair in sunglasses and a top hat, and on the sand, Summer Meltdown lounges on a striped towel beside a friend who is, at this point, mostly an outline. Nobody seems concerned.

Dinner plans

Five Alarm stands over a steaming bowl of chili holding a bottle labeled needs something. I Said Extra Hot got exactly the wing basket he asked for. Too Far Gone lines up a row of neighbors behind a hot sauce flight under the words We've Come This Far, each one a little shorter than the last. I've Got This leans into a bowl of ramen with total confidence, and at the fire pit, Calculated Risk roasts a marshmallow from a wicker chair placed very close to the flames. It seemed like the right distance.

For the one who commits

Somewhere in your life is someone who orders it extra hot and then insists, through tears, that it's fine. Someone who books the massage and watches the clock. Someone who asks for one more beach selfie before anyone is allowed to leave. You'll know them the second you see the right design. The residents of Snowman Falls would get along with them very well.
